Shoegaze is a genre that has always been associated with massive fuzz, washy reverb and delay, and an overall wall of sound. As fans of the genre ourselves (as well as bands like MBV, Sonic Youth, and many others), we wanted to make something that would instantly get shoegaze tones out of the box - and in an single effect pedal.
We got a custom order from someone who wanted artwork and a name to honor their favorite album - Loveless. It happens to be one of our favorites as well, and got played on repeat through the design and build process of this custom pedal. We tend to post cool custom builds on our Facebook and Instagram, and when we posted the Loveless it was met with a massive response, and reached thousands of people. Because of this, we made it available and it became one of, if not our most popular pedal.
The Loveless is a huge fuzz directly into a washy reverb. Each side operates independently with three controls for each. The fuzz side gets Gain, Tone, and Level, the reverb side gets Reverb, Feedback, and Mix. You can use one side at a time, or both together with true bypass switching each side. The fuzz side is a huge wall of sound fuzz with a wide range tone control to help you dial in the exact sound you want, while the reverb is a spacious, echoing reverb that allows full wet, mixed, and full dry/full wet in parallel via the Mix control. Whether you want reverb swells, long and ambient resonance, or some extra depth with a short reverb, it will respond as needed. We’ve made the Loveless more versatile than ever with updated circuits and controls, along with a much smaller enclosure and top mounted jacks to maximize pedalboard space.
