KAWAII KHAOS
The Kawaii Khaos was an awesome custom build we did several years back, and has since evolved into its own circuit design in our lineup thanks to multiple requests from customers.
We took a Shimmer/Reverb circuit, and added a jangly boost with EQ to it to make one cohesive circuit that sounds like nothing else. With plenty of volume, a wide range tone control, and multiple controls for the shimmer section of the circuit, the Kawaii Khaos is extremely versatile at what it does. With the new Khaos! Momentary footswitch, you can also trigger oscillations at any whim with just a tap and hold, even for short swells of noise to pair with your sparkly, shimmering tone.
Shimmer/reverb time ranges from 0-150ms, and will take you from ring modulation-esque effects, up into bright, shimmery tones, and even into reverb and a bit of sparkly slap-back echo. Add in tone shaping and you can take it from dark ambience all the way up to bright, booming shimmers on the verge of sparkly oscillation. This is a truly unique effect, and a ton of fun to play with.
Plus it’ll naturally be the cutest pedal on your board. Look at those pink knobs!
